What's inside my Vera Bradley Purse?

I decided to do a blog version of "What's inside my Vera Bradley Purse".  I often see Vbogs on youtube, and decided to do my own in blog form. Hope you enjoy it, and if you have any question's of any of the patterns/purses/etc, feel free to leave a comment. :)

I'm currently using the 'Clare' in the pattern plum crazy which is a recent Spring 2013 pattern.

This is an inside peek of what's inside my clare purse

First up inside my Clare purse, is the medium sized cosmetic in Hope Toile, a pattern that retired in Spring 2006. I use this as a file system, I am not much of a makeup gal, but I do love the cosmetic bags, they are great for holding other items, such as calculators, pens, pencils, etc!

Inside the medium cosmetic bag, I have it set up as a file system for coupons and receipts. I am not by any means a couponing person, I do occasionally will gather some coupons for mega savings, which doesn't happen too often. I tend to forget about them, but hopefully with this new idea I had for the cosmetic bag, and keeping organized, will help me remember to use them more often. At the moment I
only have one coupon! :)

Next up is the snap wallet in Raspberry Fizz.   Raspberry Fizz retired in Spring 2008.

The Snap wallet features a tab closure, with a magnetic snap. The wallet itself is a bi-fold interior which includes three card and two slip pockets, plus an ID window. This wallet also has an Zip pocket on the back that holds change.  The size of the wallet is 5 1/2 W x 4 1/2 H

Next is a Coin Purse in Frankly Scarlet. Frankly Scarlet retired in Fall 2008.

Inside the coin purse I keep random reward cards that I use on a day to day basis.. I love the coin purse for that aspect, even though I rarely have change on me, the coin purse is very helpful to keep all my cards organized. I do not have allot of cards, but I have a good amount

Here we have the adorable 'Vera Bradley' Sweetheart coin purse! In the pattern Plum Crazy. This coin purse was a limited edition during Valentines Day 2013! The coin purse retailed for 17 dollars I think.  Again, I use this item for receipts or work related stuff.

Now this is a great way to keep up-to-date on reminders, and mini notes! It's the 'Vera Bradley' Pocket Papers in Plum Crazy! I don't use this item too often, but when I do, I like to try and have it in my purse as much as possible.

Last but not least, is My most used item! 'Vera Bradley's' 2013 Pocket Planner! Love this! I keep this in my purse, so I can keep up-to-date on my work schedule, and any family events that are going on etc.  The pattern of the Pocket Planner is Va Va Bloom! and I purchased this Pocket Planner on Ebay.

How do you store your Vera Bradley bags?

The title say's it all! How do you store your Vera Bradley bags?  I'm looking for a new way to store mine. At the moment I have them on a few shelves in my closet. In the closet, there are long white shelves in the middle.  As a disclaimer, I am in no way "bragging" about what I have, I am simply showcasing, and sharing how I store my Vera Bradley item's.. It has taken me several years for my collection to look like this, I do not purchase Vera Bradley item's at retail price, I purchase them at thrift stores, or Ebay.  I am not rich, I am a smart shopper.  My collection is not super fancy, but it works for me!

I had to cut off the sides in this picture by the way, so you wouldn't see the other item's in my closet, well clothes... didn't want them to distract the main purpose of this picture.

Vera Findings!

Hey Guy's!

Just wanted to share my "Vera Findings" for the day.  Went over to Plato's Closet today, since I had to run a few errands.. ended up picking up three items! All the Vera items I found are in good shape too! (For the most part).  Paid a total of $21.00 for all three items, not bad!

  • Bag Name: Little Betsy
  • Pattern: Pinwheel Pink
  • Time Frame of Pattern: January 2008-May 2009
  • Retired: Summer 2008
  • Size: 10½" x 8" x 3¾" with 10" strap drop
  • Machine Washable

  • Bag Name: Zip ID Case
  • Pattern: Java Blue
  • Time Frame of Pattern: January 2006-November 2010
  • Retired: Spring 2006
  • Size:  5" x 3"
  • Machine Washable

  • Bag Name: Brush, and Pencil Bag
  • Pattern: Cupcakes Pink
  • Time Frame of Pattern:  January 2009-January 2010
  • Retired:  Spring 2009
  • Size:  9" x 3" x 2"
  • Machine Washable
The only thing I did not like about the Brush and Pencil bag finding was the fact that the VB tag was torn off!! I was a bit disappointed seeing the tag gone when I got home.
I am not much of a makeup gal, so I plan on using the "Brush, and Pencil bag" as a receipt holder, or something in that general area.  Other than the tag missing, it's in pretty good shape. If I knew the tag was missing previously, I would of talked them into letting me have it for less than what they were asking.  Either way, as I said before, it's a pretty good score! I love finding rare Vera Bradley items that are discontinued! lately I have been trying to add more discontinued items to my collection then newer items. Has anyone else had any luck today with finding Vera items? Share if you like! :)  Hope everyone enjoyed the post, and Thank you for stopping by!

Definitely a great haul! Looks like I'm ready for summer day's of being lazy and lounging around the pool, with my new Vera set. Soon I'll post some reviews of each of the item's that I purchased. Thank's for reading and hoped you enjoyed this short haul post!

Flashback Monday!

Hey Vera's!

Figured I'd start my real first blog with a bit of a twist of "Flashback Mondays!" I will be posting reviews, and sharing my very first Vera items, with you!

To start this off I would like to share my first Vera purchase from 2010.  At the time, I had no clue who Vera Bradley was, until I found Vera item's on Ebay. I was searching for a new lunch bag, but I wanted a particular lunch bag, it had to be purple, and it had to be functional, with room for organization. After searching for a few day's off, and on, I stumbled upon this lovely lunch bag called "Lunch Bunch" in the pattern "Simply Violet", I went ahead and purchased this lunch bag, not knowing how hooked I would get afterwards.

  • Pattern: Simply Violet
  • Time frame of Pattern: April 2010-June 2011
  • Retired: Summer 2010
  • Size: 7 ½" x 9" x 4 ¼" with 3" handle drop
  • Machine Washable

The Review: The lunch bag is rather durable, it has a quilted drop handle  can hold most "pre-packaged frozen meals, or  Thermos" I typically can add a sandwich, a snack, and a water bottle, and still have plenty of room, and on top of that my food item's rarely get smashed or bunched together.  The Lunch Bunch has a large zippered opening, and on the side it has a small ID window with a Vera Bradley signature card, if you flip the card over you can actually use it to write your name on it.  I would definitely recommend this bag to anyone who usually pack's 'light' lunches for work, or school. Hope you enjoyed this "Flashback Monday" post, and the short review on the 'Lunch Bunch'!  So what was your very first Vera purchase? Do you still use that very first Vera item on a day to day basis? Enjoy!

Star Rating: Five Stars!

Large Zippered opening!

Small ID Window!

Inside slip pocket, so you can add silverware, or napkins, or anything of your choice!
